Hello Everyone,
Welcome to another episode of “The Hurricane Season From Hell”. As you may know, the commencement of hurricane season is only 4 days away. I wish I had better news for you, but the 2010 season is predicted to be an above average season. Below are a few predictions from the experts:
Colorado State University – 15 named storms, 8 hurricanes, and 4 major hurricanes. Dr. William Gray has been forecasting hurricanes for over 40 years and he said this about the upcoming 2010 hurricane season: "The numbers are going to go up quite high. This looks like a hell of a year."
NOAA – 14-23 named storms, 8-14 hurricanes, and 3-7 major hurricanes.
Accuweather – 15 named storms, 5 hurricanes, and 2-3 major hurricanes. He is predicting 7 landfalls.
WeatherBug – 12-17 named storms, 6-9 hurricanes and 3-4 major hurricanes
Next week, I will post information regarding the numbers given above by the experts and why do they ALL think the 2010 season will be a total opposite of 2009 and a parallel to 2005 and 2008.
